A coenzyme central to energy metabolism and DNA repair that declines with age.
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme essential for cellular energy production and DNA repair. Its levels fall with age, which is why precursors such as NR (nicotinamide riboside) and NMN are marketed as longevity supplements. They do raise NAD+ in blood in trials, but evidence that this translates into meaningful anti-aging or healthspan benefits in humans is still early.
